After completing my first year at the District 2- Pre-K Center, Ms. Aneesha Jacko, our former Early Childhood Director, asked me to present at several new teacher boot camps. She believed I could be a good resource for new teachers.

August 14, 2019
Along with Nicole Dorsey, parent coordinator, I presented on the topic of family engagement.

I was invited to present on the topic of Tools of Autonomy and created a Classroom Climate Guide. At the end of the presentation, I provided my contact information and was able to support new teachers during their first year at the Pre-K Center.

During our PLC on April 29, 2019, I presented to the colleagues at my site on the topic of Transitions. Each person left with this transition booklet

Site Meetings:
In March 2020 when we transitioned to remote learning, we continued to 
have site meetings. I volunteered to host a community builder activity for our May 19 meeting.

On February 22, 2021, during our school-wide meeting, I collaborated with a colleague to make a presentation on Black History Month relevant for in-person and remote students. I also presented this topic to families on February 24, 2021.

Professional Development Day:

I opened up our asynchronous day of learning and created this PowerPoint presentation (view below). I opened the meeting with a community builder, spoke about the importance of self-care, highlighted the adult wellness rooms in different sites, and led a mindfulness activity.
