Flat Jaci

When the children no longer attended in person school due to the COVID-19 virus and transitioned to remote learning, I wanted them to feel as if their teachers were still with them. Therefore, I made flat dolls of myself and my paraprofessional, Ms. Erika, which I mailed to the students' homes. The students then took photos of different activities they did in the presence of Ms. Jaci and Ms. Erika. Students loved this as it maintained a sense of normalcy since they were used to their teachers’ involvement during all aspects of their day. It made school at home more fun. We got the idea from Jeff Brown's popular series, Flat Stanley

My fully remote students drew pictures of me to accompany them on their daily activities.
